G'morning Buche,

The bid size and ask size is indicative of the number of shares being offered. So, when you see a bid size of, say 50, it means that the Market Makers or Specialists are willing to buy 5,000 shares at the stated price and the ask means that the Market Makers or Specialists are willing to sell that many shares at the stated price.

Normally, you would multiply the bid or ask size by 100 to get the total number of shares being offered at the time.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Helene
