What am I? Had that financial website CEO ask me the same thing today.

I told him I was a copywriter/creative director, then he asked why I had a music biz card, and I'm thinkin I'm about to lose the gig 'cause who the hell wants a singer/composer/producer writing copy about asset allocation? So I told him about my music (all genres--mostly jazz and r&b) After a pregnant pause he says, "I always wanted to make a living in music--I'm a drummer . . ." Then he asks for my hourly rate, I give him my high ball, and he says "fine."

To cap it off, this guy's never read a single word I've written (lucky me). We just sat around and talked about his company and his website for two and a half hours. Guess he liked what he heard.(The rubber will hit the road when I submit my first draft, but I ain't sweatin it--I can talk and write all proper like when I needs to)

Who'da thunk it? I'm tellin ya, there is a God, and on certain days he smiles mighty kindly on me.
