<<... trading is a way of survival in this sector. >>

Yiwu; shhhhhh, don't tell anyone. Just post more news on record highs in Crude Oil prices, or the supposed discovery of Nat Gas Stocks - not that we were discussing this in Jan-Feb in light of the # of nat gas rigs drilling was mathematically inadequate to support normal supply demand. It wasn't a philosophical, cheerleading interpretation - merely, a mathematical exercise. The time to be looking for Nat Gas oriented stocks was in Late Jan - remember EVER @ $14 anyone ? Not that the time to sell is into record setting crude prices... nahhh

.... some of us - beat the ''noveau crowd'' to the party - and now we get to sell them our ''DOUBLES" as they ''just now'' discover these gems (VBG) - and then, we get to buy them back, cheaper off of these inevitable one day spikes - when the ''noveau crowd'' gets euphoric - then whipsawed. Sure it may only be a 1-2 day retracement - but those 10-15% one day stories begin to add up...

.... sadly, this meteoric spikes have proven to be selling- read profit taking; opportunities - not buying opportunities. - but shhh, don't tell anyone - were supposed to cut & paste all the after-the fact headlines ! We buy on good news (high) and dump/sell on bad news (low) right ? Surely, we don't sell into days like yesterday when all the pom-poms are waving - nahhhh ? Only a moron would do that (VBG)...

Seems that ''trading'' or profit taking is analagous to shorting here of late.... Again RIG from $25-$29, and numerous $3-4-5 trades on these ''minor'' oscillations as one antiguru refers to it (VBG).

I'll continually take these $3-4-5- ''minor oscillations'' all the way to the bank - while the noveau pom-pom squad misses the forrest for the trees...

PS - a basket of 6-8 E&P micro's are averaging about 40% over the last week, or so.... a ''minor oscillation'' - not in my book..... but then again; here in the land of ''OZ" - those who flame the trading mentality - suddently ''became'' traders (VBG), or did they ?

I never called for new lows in the OSX - but not selling into these euphoric spikes - ??? just too much history to ignore...there are simply too many stocks left to rotate into. By not selling entire positions, you can remain - ''in play'' - but to not partake of this volatility ? whatever....

Evidently FGI was discovered yesterday (VBG) ??? maybe I just see things differently ? I think I posted well in advance of this noveau FGI-mania; that FGI would once again give us a retracement buying opp and would ''pop'' post earnings giving yet another trading opportunity.... yesterday was for ringing the register imho - some thought yesterday was about FGI breaking out over $18 and not seeing resistance to $30 ? - some saw it as another chunk of change in the register...bwdik - those 50% - to 3 baggers on HMAR, BEXP, MEXP, FEN were all ''re-writes'' of history now weren't they ?...and when I was pounding the table on Nat Gas stocks in Jan-Feb and buying EVER, MARY back then - that was an imaginary re-write now wasn't it ? Buying EEX on it's blow off to $4 7/8ths - selling yesterday at $7 - guess that was a re-write too... when I was buying HLX - it was a Bankruptcy candidate - without fundamentals. etc - well, what it was - was a 50% laggard pop - another re-write.

You know, isn't posting headlines, cheerleading and standing on innocous middle ground - grande ? Hard to ever be wrong, if you never take a specific stand.... I'm sure we'll see all the ''Bulls'' sold yesterday if we retrace again here to any degree....(VBG) !

And positioning oneself - not in any type of a ''call'' - but in a prudent risk vs. reward position - via profit taking on these resistance level tops - now makes me a ''sublte short'' here ? I get flammed by the human internet virus - for never posting anything of substance, calling for new lows ? what irony..... whatever; just mo money in the register today and now I get to go shopping again...

now - the $64 question is how will Crude Oil prices react to the OPEC compliance #'s in May and how will the OSX react to crude prices?....hmmm. What companies, subsectors are the risk vs. reward candidates there...? Will this be the single most important time of late to be risk/reward positioned - or in the mo-mo stocks ? Aren't they all mo-mo stocks on good news ? But , will it be good news ? Will it be good news for the noveau pom-pom squad, but another selling opportunity for the Street ? - nahhh, that couldn't happen - why would the Street sell if OPEC announces good compliance to the new quotas ? - that would be good news right ? don't we buy on good news and sell on bad - or would that be buy high & sell low ? ...(VBG) .... some never learn.... keep waving the pom -poms - I'm sure the Street hasn't built any of this info into either stock or crude prices here - after all; we have the inside scoop - don't we ? Surely, the Street and Oil Pit traders haven't read all of those Bloomberg posts have they ?
