"they say 1600 mtexel fillrate. they say 3dfx will release the information about the product around may 14, or whatever the first day of E3 is.

they also say there's a good possibility 3dfx might use s3tc in their next product (microsoft supports it, so why not?)

jeremy alford reported (paraphrase), "this is not speculation. i have a spec sheet 3dfx gave out at immersion. i won't say anymore, so they dont get mad at me"

so i think we have a tentative public release date for information on the next 3dfx part."
