Microforum Inc. (TSE:MCF) is pleased to announce that it has retained the New York office of
Morrison & Foerster LLP to initiate the process of filing the Company's Form 20-F registration statement under the U.S.
Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Microforum's registration of its stock will allow its shares to be solicited and traded by
licensed broker-dealers in the United States in compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission (''SEC'') regulations.
Certain Microforum securities were already exempt in some states under the Standard & Poor's manual exemption for
secondary trading. The 20F registration has greater flexibility to carry out investor relations activities in the U.S. in compliance
with applicable state laws. The effective registration statement also moves Microforum closer to eligibility for listing its stock
on a U.S. stock exchange or market. ''This is important in our ongoing efforts to maximize shareholder value,'' said Howard
Pearl, CEO and President of Microforum. ''We increasingly are forming alliances with U.S. firms and attracting U.S.
customers. In addition, as an Internet and E-commerce technology company, we believe it is important to build a greater
presence among U.S. investors, and this step offers the ideal vehicle with which to accomplish this.''

I would expect an update on this soon considering what the share price has done in the past while. Howard expected listing status to occur further down the road - ie. 4 to 6 months from beginning of April - only because the share price was not meeting the appropriate requirements. Well, now they do, and it would be easy to assume they're attempting to speed up the process.
