Why not have it all? and they could spend that much, look at what they are spending on everything else!

I agree lebo, other than G.lite what has Aware got for a deal to be worthwhile for Alcatel to make such a move as a buyout...not to mention Aware doesn't appear to be for sale. Alcatel & Orckit are most likely the two main competitors to Aware. It seems to me both of them are dealing with the G.Lite standard in a very reluctant manner. TXN has come around to G.lite after doing the same dance. And I see Alcatel & ORCT are starting to move with the music lately...so they too may be on the dance floor soon. But as for an Aware buyout Alcatel would be at the end of a long list of better suitors.
