Don't know...our bigger concern, at this point, emphasizing, at this point, is whether NewKidCo has established critical mass with its technology, console edutainment niche, industry, the street, institutional [funds], analysts (U.S. and Toronto), ... accordingly...May (E3) is critical for NewKidCo and why we simply will take a wait and see approach wherein, in the interim, the ultimate judge will simply be the Closing Bell stock price of NKC(IF)...re: management's ability to establish credibility with 'the street' concomitant with their representations re: "....NewKidCo International Inc. (OTC BB:NKCIF - news; TSE:NKC - news) today reported year-end 1998 financial results that reflect the completion of its restructuring program, and it estimated a profitable first quarter from its continuing line of business, children's video-game software based on popular licensed characters.

The estimated preliminary financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 1999 from continuing operations - sales of approximately CND $10.0 million and a net profit of approximately CND $1.6 million - reflect the shipment of five new video game titles: Elmo's Number Journey(TM), Elmo's Letter Adventure(TM) and Hello Kitty's Cube Frenzy(TM), for the PlayStation® game console, and Elmo's ABCs(TM) and Elmo's 123s(TM) for Game Boy Color®. Also during the quarter, the Company changed its name from SoftQuad International Inc. to reflect its new business focus.

Richard Rabins, CEO, said ''We have completed a period of significant transition. Our business, video-game publishing targeted at the high growth children's segment, is beginning to deliver positive results such as a top 10 best-selling ranking on eToys.com for Elmo's Letter Adventure. In addition, we successfully exited the enterprises that were diluting our focus from this business. Our 1999 goals are to launch additional children's software titles, work with our business and retail partners to take advantage of the market potential of our existing titles and explore internet marketing initiatives..."
