I am far from expert but thought I would throw something out for thought.

Is it possible that with the IMF ready to sell gold off to raise cash, they would be letting gold rise to get the most cash per sale? Upon completion of the sale, they could then just push it back down like before. Not that anyone would interfere in a free and open market. <ng>
