Personally, I find eBAY's stock price and valuation obscene and offensive even for an interNUTS. Why should eBAy be traded at a higher P/E (3-4 times) that of AOL or YHOO, both of which will certainly be a better long term viable companies than eBAY? AOL can start an auction department any day with its 18 million members. I hope Steve Case will just do that in the near future. Since YHOO and AMZN all have auctions now, AOL should have that too.
