My take on the latest patent. This document lays claim to a manufacturing process rather than basic materials or chemistry. Eliminates the step of fabricating the anode and cathode separately, and then cutting and laminating. Instead, this appears to be a method for forming and laminating the bicell layers in a continuous "sheet". Manufacturing costs are reduced by this technique. There is a glitch in one of my netscape plug ins which prevented access to the drawings. However, my impression is that this patent is a breakthrough for mass production of li poly cells.
