RDM,

The cooling should only have sped things 30%.

So it can't be a conventional K7 IMHO.

It could have been an early 0.18 micron chip or they didn't run the FPU.

Either way it is very encouraging.

AMD-K7 to run faster within AMD's specifications.

low temperature operation?

A22: The AMD-K7 processor inside the Super-G is a standard high-speed part from AMD's .25 micron fab in
Austin, Texas.
It has not been enhanced or optimized for low temperature operation, either in terms of the
manufacturing process or the microprocessor design rules.

So, the chip inside is a standard 0.25 part. Real encouraging!!
