I don't understand their broadband strategy, and how they're going to compete with cable modems. And don't start on DSL because DSL has issues that are unresolved for universal use and in the buildout. And even if they sign deals with cable companies, I'm not gonna use their cheesy homepage, because the IP connection is what I'm after. And don't tell me buddy lists and live chat boards are worth billions of dollars.

I've also made a small fortune on AOL stock (sold at 157 after two doubles), but without a coherent broadband strategy, this stock is not going to remain larger in market cap than GM and Ford put together, IMO.

Yaacov, AOL is the most recommended stock in America. Go to www.nordby.com and you will see that 60 brokers recommend AOL. The downdraft we just saw is short term trading by the professionals that bid the price up before the earnings report, then sell short the afternoon of the announcement. Many analysts upgraded AOL after the earnings report. So if the economy is good, and with this morning's labor cost report the economy is excellent, then AOL should do well.
