Brister,

I'm not the greatest at this, but do you mind if I give a try? These are my best guesses so please don't berate me if I'm messed up.

By looking at your cool graphics card, I'll assume you're running Win 95/98, if not(linux or somethin I know nutin' about) all I can tell you is to look at your devices and set them so you have no conflicts with IRQ's

First, If some of the IRQ's that u mentioned are being used by non-existent devices(stuff you no longer have hooked up or use) make them go away(using device manager in control panels/system). If you think you're using something, don't delete it!

If you're running Win 98 or 95, go to control panels/system/each device/ and see if'n you let windows manage your plug and pray devices. This is done by going to each device and checking the box that say's 'use automatic settings'. Check that box for all devices.

A word of warning, if you have some devices that require a specific IRQ or DMA to function don't let windows change those to what it wants, sometimes it screws them up and the IO memory address is damn near impossible to set back.

In my hands windows works pretty good at this, and your conflicts will go away.

But...

U got alot of stuff.

See if your problems go away and if you can add more stuff. The conflicts are only grumpy when two or more devices are trying to use the same portal at the same time, which will lead to intermittent crashes, problems with one thing when you use another. For instance when you use your cable modem, you might have sometime problems with graphics.

Next thing I see, and will need more info, and, if somebody knows better please help?

I can't tell by what you have written whether or not you have
2 Hard drives, or one hard drive and a controller built for two or an IDE cd-rom controller etc etc.

If u only have one hard disk or cd-rom hooked into your IDE controller, I don't see why you need a second ide controller grabbing up interrupt space. The part that I need help on though is why the bus master ide controller is in conflict with the primary and secondary ide controllers? If you try to change the IRQ settings 95 will tell you that you can't because it is part of the bus master and you have to change the Bus Master.

So in short, I don't know. I don't think it will be the source of your grief for adding new hardware. If somebody who knows better can post a better answer I'd love to hear it because I have a few conflict problems of my own that are making me nuts!

Hope this helps,

Good luck!
