Monish, The way I understand the service contracts, they cut a deal to perform certain services over a certain period of time for a certain fee. You then get to the questions: when do you book the fees and cost your expenses? I believe that many service firms front load both, but the fees are set and the expenses could be more or less than expensed.

The Y2K agreements you talk about sound like Pre-Nuptial agreements. I'm sure some class-action lawyers will rip their face off.
