This doesn't make sense, RG. The servers would have been at the end of a major pipe, not a cable modem. Probably multiple T-1's or T-3's. Whose server farm actually hosted it? If it was outsourced (like Exodus), could even be on an OC-3.

Cable modem technology is for home use: it's asynchronous, faster inbound than outbound, which is great for browsing but not if your're running servers, with heavy outbound traffic.

I recall reading somewhere in Bid.coms filing for NASDAQ that had ATM installed in house.
