IS EBAY UP 3600% since last fall--from a low of Cdn$27.00/sh to a high of Cdn$1000.00/sh.??? Is that possible.???--That does not take into account the 3 to 1 split from a few weeks ago.!!!

I agree... I thought it was quite entertaining... I just hope that they can forgoe the lava lamps in the future... oopppss... hope nobody here bought one.

Seriously... I think certain individuals who have been here bashing all day missed the point... all those new registrants in the data base!!! Egghead and uBid both talk about e-mail direct notification of new products, etc. as integral aspects of their marketing campaigns. Even if bid.com only earned $10,000 (my speculation) from their Canadian auction last night... well normally companies have to pay big bucks to get lists of prime users... these guys did it and didn't pay a cent!! Pretty smart! And how many new people went and had a look because of all the excitement and are now aware of bid.com. The mentions on CNBC were worth a small fortune if costed out strictly on the basis of media exposure as well.

I hope they run it often too!
