There is no reason to be scared of a $2-3.00 per minute charge. People are already paying it quite commonly--On their international calls.

You have got to be kidding. In country after country you can get calling cards today. You can even get them in China.

US/UK - 6c.
US/Israel - 16c
US/Germany - 8c

500 mins for about $30 on Sprint PCS and NO roaming charges in the US. Just dail o/seas using a calling card.

Now its true in West Africa you may in certain countries have difficulty getting a line but its not a major market.
