You should try putting a pipeline thru it. <grin> I have seen permafrost at the same latitude we are talking about -in the muskeg about a foot down. Muskeg is a great insulator. JP

I was in a Borders Bookstore and looked at the new EARTHA atlas, they have a sofware companion tied in to GPS. I got the disk last week but hadn't looked at the area yet...will do...there are a lot of RIVERS on the Map...north of where the roads stops -like you all say...I will surf to the disk next. Can someone tell me if the rivers on the map are naviagatable? Are they a half mile wide as they say...or are they swamp rivers. Either way with mosses, could a Florida Swamp Glider cruise over it? ( or some Air Boat Design) I better look at the scale of miles and the distances are hugh up there. All I better say, can geo just flush it downstream.
