Overheard at the AGM 1. The company has a little less than $10 million in the bank. 2. The results from the K14 minibulk are about half of what they "need to proceed to the next stage." 3. The company will go ahead with a financing during the "later half" of this year. As a precaution, the company gathered prior approval to circumvent the TSE's 25 percent rule. 4. All the directors (white-haired white guys in dark suits) were reelected, and a mine engineer from AML (no white hairs) was newly-appointed. 5. The "canary" yellow diamond (as well as others) was avail for anyone who wanted to look at it through a microscope. For all the fuss I and other made about it, its really not too impressive. I mean, what should I have really expected? 6. The Prez announced that "the Cuyo lands have targets." This, after 300,000 line miles AEM. Overall, it was just like last year (right down to the beverages and selection of cookies) only less well attended -- though not poorly attended. The thing I like about ACA meetings is that they are so well scripted. All of AML's proxies were held by AMC employees who dutifully stood up when their auspicious moment arrived, and recited from memory specific motions -- sometimes they were kinda long too. Sometimes you go to these things and everyone's too shy to get their name in the minutes; its awkward. Not here. bang, bang, bang. The Prez spoke lucidly and at length, mostly about Alberta. Most of it was well known. Although he invited everyone to stay after the meeeting and ask questions -- great idea -- my car was about to be towed so I had to split. There was also a question period during the meeting, but I didn't raise my hand. What's kinda frustrating about these meetings is you got the entire crew cornered in this room -- all this exploration knowledge -- and you'd kinda like to learn more about the science of the whole effort. Y'know just because you're curious about it? But you're afraid to raise your hand because you're scared off asking a dumb question. That's why SI is such a valuable tool!
