Beware of the Stochastics, often people can read more into them then there is. Knowing how the formula is based may show you the weakness of it:

It's possible for stochastics to rise without a further rise in todays close. The highest highs in %k need only start dropping to todays highs {closes} and the acceleration can be faster then one would expect. That's why it's an OSCILLATOR. But this is only one form of stochastic oscillator, those XAU spikes of the past can skew the charts.

PS: You need more then one indicator, try trend channels.
