But, the Delta gives them two positives: less time to final position (making up for delay in launch), and reduced political risk. G can now start service without talking to anyone in Eastern Europe again, if they had to.

Curious timing of this is the announcement that Russia had declared CDMA outlawed for mobile applications. A rather strange pronouncement that also reeks of political issues.

Question: Do they have the satellites available to launch Soyuz and Delta in June if they wanted to, or is this an assembly-line operation?
