Rick-- On 'Magic posts' OT--'Motivated Arrogance and Wall Street' It is just some 'big talking' by Ike, when I talk big it sounds strange quite often. I exactly know what I am doing but it is very intentional and with a purpose. When one speaks about the biggest show on earth like Wall Street, one needs that accompanying 'paraphernalia' of that long cigar, that hot shot approach that makes and gives birth to legends like Michael Douglas type of characters in movies like Wall Street. Successful trading is associated with that certain trait of 'holier than thou attitude', by making tall claims I try to take out that air and aura build around markets that these markets are for 'suspender wearing' 'cigar chewing ' 'ski going' guys only. A start up guy from modest background can equally perform, that is what ‘magic' does. I bring that simplicity and humanism to trading that even ordinary investor who have no idea about this ‘dancing queens and hanging man' can trade as effectively. Stop fooling around, that is my message, coded it may be in magic. That is the purpose of this ‘show off business'. My father gave me this lesson that never ever boast and never ever beat your own trumpet, but to do that for a cause like mine I do indulge and I enjoy it as I know the one's who want to push that dagger in me coils with anger... the problem is that they don't skip me and I take back hand swipes with my one liners, until they keep peeping I will keep sending that coded message. gg To help ordinary people like me, I do make trading look simple and away from the domain of Kurlacks and Biggs or Accompora's, it belongs to small investors and I bring it to them, daily market calls as I do is the most taxing business I do it and take credit but in my heart I know if this can be read it is easy, it is kind of encouragement to new investors, that if a Pakistani sitting in Pakistan can do it every one else can, and that is what hurt the gurus the most. I say Hi here I am I do it every day better than you, still ready to share my time. My ‘magic' is directed to that 'self styled guru' 'higher than ordinary mortal' image, I so often see and detest., ‘Magic posts' takes on these 'hedge' guys, hot shots partners of firms like 'Goldman Sach ' who will just plainly refuse to entertain an ordinary investor whereas lick a high net worth individual ass, the aim is we know it too and we do better than you. That is the purpose. I know it may be least effective but in my own heart I score a home run I feel good about it, yes I do take liberties on my own thread. I make claims just to offset that 'Walking tall' 'making markets come to them approach', I just insert a pin in that filled balloon of ego by saying I do it all the time so what? I try to make markets look simple and nice, I add humanism with trading that is what I achieve with this magic posts, however in the process I do register my extraordinary calls, as they kind of get wasted in silence. I highlight them so as to evoke 'challenge' to the authenticity or the 'reason' of the call. When reason is asked I get happy as it educates me further and I try to impart something to the other fellow like my post to Dave. I want to let every one know that it is simple why are you making claims which are false, by admitting my frailties, eccentricities human weakness, I make people feel comfortable with the market, rather it is 'if he/she can do it why not me'. I want to bring market to public domain, when someone is day trading he/she should be pretty sure that guy next is no better than him or her in quality or understanding, even if he has a suspender on and a long cigar in his mouth gg, it is about quality of understanding and like any other business needs time, day trading will make it for you, if you leave emotions at home. If everyone takes emotion out and trade within themselves market becomes a pleasure. My magic posts are just a sequential reply to 'class of arrogance' of some 'ski talk', some 'boat visits' or the 'long board dinners' where most of the market directions are decided based on 'sell or buy' programs. A casual man like me try to make markets look approachable not restricted to chosen few. By highlighting my magic numbers I say just look at these levels and you will see that more often than not you will not be whipsawed. I accept in my heart that in the process I sacrifice that 'nicety, simplicity and humility in me' on altar of some bombastic claims and some foolish desire to even scores with a breed I don't have any connection with but that is unfortunately me. However just I beg your pardon I need every bit of it to swim with these sharks they don't listen otherwise. 'Motivated Arrogance and Wall Street' goes hand in hand unfortunately, I need to that 'magic' for commenting on biggest show on earth, some time I look back at all this 'magic stuff' I say to myself Is it you man?
