Sold 5% of Boeing yesterday. 40 3/8. Down to 65% in retirement fund. Sold some at 38. If we go below that I will buy back. If it hits 41 or 42 I will sell some more..

I sent Phil Condit an e-mail telling him that our Retirement funds Small Cap fund only did 4% average for the last 3 years and that he should switch to American Century Funds...*G*

No way, you got to get your feet inside the door of BA so you could feel how it like. I happened to do a case study about BA on my MBA program and we found that BA is lack of management focus. By talking with BA longtime employees, I also found a lot of things (I should not reveal it in the public place) that makes me skeptical about holding the stock. Yes, longterm is ok but how long is the wait? What about opportunity cost?

Your assumption about "not everyone else is lazy" is not true for the case of BA. Yes, it does need corporate restructuring. I've spent quite bit of my time to do research about this company, from case study/ balance sheet analysis to first hand visit the corporation. Without knowing someone works inside the firm, I would probably hold the stock based on my assumption.
