Mark,
I like buying calls on big internet stocks that are due to split soon, and I try to get in on a good dip. Ultimate rush for me when my call splits and I watch it go up $200 for every point the stock goes up. It would have cost $23,400 to buy that much stock.

CMGI had a pretty nice trendline and I aimed for the pullback to the line after the last spike. I think I'll be OK. It's scary though. I would have been more comfortable with a further-out option but there weren't any Julys and September was too expensive.

do you have any thoughts about what a fed interest rate hike would do to the share price of cmgi? assume such a hike does occur-- i know of a zillion reasons why it shouldn't, but let's just assume the inflation hawks at the fed stage a coup and hike interest rates as a "preemptive strike" (which they've done before)(hike interest rates, not stage coups). what would be the effect on net shares in general and cmgi in particular?
