well, now...LTCM loses a trillion dollars of borrowed money. The feds rig a rescue plan with a little bunch of brokers. Six months later, the market cap of worthless internet stocks has increased by a trillion dollars and LTCM announces it is ready to pay back its creditors.
What a coincidence. ;-)
