Rocky,

>>My next decision is what type of SCSI card to buy for my self-made computer. Any suggestions? I don't really need Ultra-SCSi3 (read cheap is cool).<<

You might try the Iomega Buz Multimedia producer for $99 from Outpost.com. You get a great video/audio capture card and an Ultra SCSI-2 bootable adapter. What a bargain!

Adaptec 2906. This card is PCI and cheap, about $50 and works great for SCSI-2

Tiger direct has the Buz for $59.00 (79.00 with 20.00 rebate).
In addition to a good SCSI II board, it has great video
capture capabilities. Come on Rocky, do it. It will feel
good owning an Iomega product.
