Abacan has made many of us "batty" but I doubt that cleats will do the trick in this case.

Pete, any info re: meeting you referenced. I've heard that a few bushes are shaking in Benin... in a favorable manner... but nothing specific enough to report. If what I hear is true, it may be the bottom of the ninth, there may be two outs, but we could still enjoy Sam emerging from those bushes to take the plate <ggg>!!! Metaphor of course, but if what I'm hearing is correct, Abacan may still rise from the ashes. I may be overreading limited data... and then again, I may be detected some action. When I hear something more definitive, I'll let you know. Sorry I am so obscure but shaking bushes are just shaking bushes... Might be Sam with his bat... might be that Grizz coming back to haunt me!!! When investing and camping, bears are not very welcomed companions! Keep your eyes open. No promises of any positive action but I would put it in the "possible" category. Not probable... not proved... but "possible".

Mr. Lee

Try picking stocks with your cleats on. Maybe that too will get your game back. ;^)

Way to hit 'em. Say, what would that make your batting average....

Sam, Paul, Foxy..I feel I have an obligation to this thread to put some Canadian content in this sport discussion. Having hung up my skates 7 years ago from a men's senior, none contact league, I feel your pain Sam. In hockey none contact does not mean much, when playing with mere youngsters of late thirties and early forties, some of which cut their teeth in the Jr. A leagues and some semi pro jr. organizations, none contact rules don't hold water. When two players traveling 20 miles an hour going for the same puck, believe me there is contact. Like Sam I thought I was still in fairly good shape. The chicken wings, beer drinking in the dressing room was after game was great, It was however the day after every game that I always wondered whether I had fun or did I have a romantic experience with a Grizzly bear (Paul you may know a little more about that those ) Anyway I counted birthdays and my family, therapist and concerned friends all suggested I take up ball room dancing. Paul, hang gliding is out also. I now spend a little more time polishing up my GREAT BIG BERTHA and wishfully thinking of possible Oil deals in west Africa. O..Well…

I did however get a new 21 speed, aluminum, mountain bike (that I snuck a across the boarder a month ago ) The warm weather in the Toronto area came early this year and I'm getting a lot of use out of it.

Happy days are ahead..
