People will soon get tired of trying to make money on the market laggards, and rationality will return with the earnings powerhouses surging upwards again. It really is the nice thing about being long. You don't have to time the train...

Greg: Re Dell on its own.
Yes Dell seems to be following the markets closer than previous years. IMO thats a mistake that will be corrected soon.
Meanwhile I am filled with suspicions of market manipulation
regarding tech stocks and perhaps the entire Nas. This may result from the fact there are now options available on most stocks.
For example on the following chart the options expired on
Jan 15, Feb 20, Mar 20, and Apr 17. The fact that Dell ( and
other stocks) just happened to be 'in the cellar' on those exact dates was pure coincidence. A minor happenstance. ( I should soak my head in a bucket for assuming that that somebody was making millions
by purposely causing this coincidence) techstocks.com
None of these blips should cause much concern to LT shareholders But is does make me play those options as cool as possible,
sell some as soon as they are up ( did that with some May 30's and May 45's a few days ago). Will continue to unload a few more
from time to time right up to earnings date and then decide whether
to hold or sell the balance by Friday. Its profitable but is very time consuming to deal with the options, but things like Rnwk or Qcom break the monotony.(hehe)
