*AV*--I remember our APM-RDRT discussions and the ill fated takeover and counter takeover discussions. I watch the sector here and am leery of APM and RDRT.

Given the consolidation in the disk drive industry and the move to GMR technology, I think that IBM is getting the upper hand as an OEM supplier. Furthermore, KOMAG is a growing concern as well as the internalization of these types of assemblies within the industry. remember, SEG does most of this internally and QNTM was trying to do likewise.

As much as this pains me, I am beginning to believe that RDRT and APM could be going the way of the bugg whip<GGG>. I see shrinkage and consolidation rather than growth for either of them.

BTW- on the face of things, you are 100% correct. When the disk drive sector does up-tick, we could expect APM to pop to $4 or $5 before languishing again. I am just hoping that the RDRT and APM types of companies can get re-vitalized. I hate to see good companies just fade away.
