Hello Gord. I am more convinced than ever after reading your post that S.I. terminated the wrong guy. Here is the e-mail I sent S.I. Just checked my inbox and have no reply yet. Subject: Termination of poster "The Fix" Date: Thu, 29 Apr 1999 19:27:42 -0700 From: ##########<#######@axion.net> To: webmistress@techstocks.com Dear Bob or Jill, It has come to my attention that the poster known as "The Fix" has been terminated due to some rude/vulgar remarks he aimed at the poster "Average Joe" on the Winspear thread. Just a little background: Average Joe has a remarkable ability to piss off each and every poster on any thread he choses to post on (Canadian Resource Stocks). For example when a company's results are bad and the stock drops in value Average Joe makes it a point to gloat and insult all those who lost money. On the Winspear thread in particular Average Joe has gone out of his way to trash the company and annoy the posters.In fact he and his cohort John Paquet have helped ruin what was once the most vibrant resource thread on S.I. The Fix on the other hand is considered by many on the Winspear thread to be one of the most savvy and humourous posters.He has a great turn of phrase,a quick wit, and when provoked, a sharp tongue.The Winspear thread is after all inhabited by geologists, prospectors,drillers and stock players, all of whom would never blush at the occasional rude comment made in the spirit of boisterous discourse. I ask you in all sincerity to re-instate The Fix's account.He is a popular and respected poster who is one of the many fine individuals who have helped make S.I. the huge success it is today.Average Joe on the other hand is a mean spirited poster who never adds anything positive to Silicon Investor.
