How about rio amarillo, challenger, brett, and solomon? Oh to have sold all in the ides of march of 97 prior to the phillipino geologist's parachute trick. No doubt that Guzman's fatal plunge (sacrifice)was to become the galvanizing metaphor for gold in the years to come.

Sorry, I can't comment on these issues. I only own one gold mining stock at this time. I still have some Mink International Resources, but the trading was suspended in this issue, and I probably will lose all of my money on this one. I've held DROOY since March of 1997, and have been using a computerized trading program (AIM/Newport) to generate buy and sell signals. My initial purchase was at $8 per share. If you are interested, you can view my trading history by visiting my home page, and scrolling down to DROOY, the first stock on the page. Click on the stock symbol and the next page will show the buy and sell points, as well as the trading history.

The page is updated every weekend. Hope this helps.

Goldbug:

Unfortunately, I also own a lot of wallpaper gold stocks as well.
With regard to alta, I believe that they have declared chapter 11.
Canyon and Crown should survive. They remain on Doody's list of
top gold stocks, if I remember correctly. I'll check later.

Regards

Dan
