Very interesting article on growth now vs cyclical now :

cbs.marketwatch.com

... So what do you do? The answer is simple: assured growth is getting cheaper by the day. Put another way, the future (meaning technology) is on sale at a discount. Now is the time to buy some.

.... Let me rephrase the essential question: if.....or we should say when, the market goes down which stock would you want to hold: Alcoa or Pfizer? We vote for Pfizer.

I looked around for some hi-tech value plays, but really couldn't too many. IMHO, for the next round, the 'big stocks' will once again get ahead of the little guys. And LSI at $30 to $32, if you can get it at that level, should perform as least as the other big guys should. That's assuming Wilf can deliver the 5% - 6% sales growth and ~$0.20 earnings in Q2 that he said he was going to.

Anybody see any other hi-tech stocks they really like for the next round?
