And if Microsoft responded to the Melissa virus by removing all macros in MS Office products, wouldn't that be strange as well? That's basically the argument of those who point to the program that Zero-Knowledge systems wrote and say that the Pentium III serial number should be banned.

Besides, the program can only get around the software switch which turns off the Processor ID. It still can't get around the BIOS switch that many computer vendors like IBM are implementing.
