Demos SpeecHTML allows you to create speech driven applications using the same tools that you use to produce a website. We have created the following examples to demonstrate how web-based services can also be accessed over the telephone. Try calling the demonstration first, then follow the link to the website to see how the site can also be used over the web. From the UK, call: 0870 870 3000 From the USA, call: 1-888-242-6878 From the rest of the world, call: +44 1223 828000 If you would like to use any of these demonstrations as templates for building your own SpeecHTML services, use the File, Save Frame As... option, then edit the file to contain your own details. Cinema Booking and Information This demonstration gives you all the options you might want if you were calling a cinema and also shows how SpeecHTML can be used for transaction processing. It allows you to find out about current films, find out about the cinema location, hear the ticket prices, or book tickets. Estate Agents This demonstration shows how SpeecHTML can be used as an information service, mainly for out of hours callers. The system will ask you for a number of details concerning your preference of house, such as an upper price limit, and the number of bedrooms, which it then matches to the properties available. Recruitment Agency This demonstration shows how same information which is displayed on a website can be used as the basis for a "job information line". The system will ask you what category of job you are interested in, and will then present the jobs available in that category. Horoscopes This demonstration shows how information which is regularly updated can be offered over the telephone simply by updating web pages, instead of having to be re-recorded each week. Football Results This demonstration shows how SpeecHTML can be used as an information service. The system will ask you the name of the football club you are interested in: the options are the teams in the UK premier division. Golf Club This demonstration shows how a graphic rich website can be used to provide a telephone-based service. The system will give you information about the club, the course and competition results, and will allow you to book tees. Product Information This demonstration shows how a website which is used to offer product information can also be accessed over the telephone. This service could also be linked to your intranet, allowing field staff to access information remotely. Tourist Information Guide This demonstration also shows how SpeecHTML can be used as an information service. It shows how callers can navigate a great deal of information by choosing options from lists. The system will offer you information about Cambridge accommodation, places to eat and things to do.
