I had a feeling that John Deere and Catapillar wouldn't lead this economy into the 21st century ;-)

Vendit - Better still - No refund, just exchanges allowed that too of tech stocks like AOL at much higher prices!

This entire scenario seems like the movie GroundHog Day. Do you remember after Dec 98 Q when AOL hit 176 after earnings then sold off to 141? A lot of people must have shorted it then thinking it was breaking. Guess what, it came roaring back and essentially doubled in 5 weeks. This Q seems eerily like that. We have had a selloff from 167 to 130. A quick rebound to 146 - shorts must be covering like crazy. Question is - will we have the big move like the Dec Q? I hope so - at least a decent move up. What do you think?

THREAD - what is your opinion about what would happen to the stock price if:

A) a buyout offer for CBS was announced?
B) a split was announced?

Thanks very much,
Jeff Smith
