**OT**

That is not even close to what extortion is. Here is an example of extortion:

Hey you, I'll sue with frivolous lawsuits until you are bankrupt unless you pay me $1000 now.

I'll get back to you on ABFG.

Suing someone is not illegal, it is not a criminal action. If threatening to someone with no cause were to be considered extortion then 90% of the lawyers in this country would be in jail (not a bad idea). Any abridgement on a person's ability to pursue legal redress, and to inform someone of his right to do so, would most likely be considered denial of due process and therefore unconstitutional. Just my opinion of course, I'm not a lawyer and other than in real estate transactions I rarely speak to lawyers.

On the contrary! A threat to take the matter to the courts is as to state: We will have this matter settled judiciously. Hardly threatening a person with bodily harm or a crime against his person. Merely stating the court would settle the matter. What Judge would consider the court to be an element of a criminal threat? More than likely they consider it a venue to resolve a problem.

No, threatening legal action is not extortion. You seem to have real difficulty with the english language (eg. shill).
