Sold the last of this dog today. The only thing impressive about SFSK anymore is the how long the list of lawsuits keeps getting. With all those lawyers "looking out for me" (HA!), I may even make a little money on these suits. I lost $38,000 on the stock so at 2 cents on the dollar, I will have $760 to look forward to in 3-5 years. Ain't America great?

LIG shares boosted by talk of counter bid
May 12, 1999 03:55 AM

LONDON, May 12 (Reuters) - Shares in condom maker London International Group Plc rose early on Wednesday as newspaper reports raised hopes of a bid for the company to counter its planned merger with Seton Scholl Healthcare Plc.

LIG shares gained 10-1/2 pence or 5.6 percent to 198p by 0751 GMT, in volume of just under one million shares.

LIG confirmed on May 4 it was discussing an all-share merger with footware specialist Seton Scholl, though industry sources said LIG was also in talks with other potential partners, including U.S. latex glove maker Safeskin (SFSK).

The Daily Mail on Tuesday further fuelled this speculation, suggesting Safeskin would offer 230 pence per share for LIG, a premium of 32 pence or 16 percent pver [sic] Wednesday's closing price.

A spokesman for LIG declined comment.
