I have not made a decision about Brocade shares, yet, and probably won't make that decision until the eve of the opportunity to buy. Brocade's numbers do not impress me, and I am uncertain about what there numbers mean vis a vis their prospects. For example, is there any reason to believe that Sequent, which hasn't done the volume of business it expected, at least measured as of 1996, will remain an exclusive with Brocade? Now that Ancor has competitive products, will Brocade keep Dell to itself, and will EMC expand its horizons? On the other hand, I expect that Brocade will be making announcements to support the IPO, so I may learn more that will make Brocade more attractive.
