Not that we're voting here, but I tend to agree with Sea Otter's interpretation of the 3com item. As far as pending news goes, I have a feeling that we are going to see something unexpected announced in the near future. Isn't that always the case? Look how we were caught by surprise when the WK and Qwest announcements were made. My WAG would be something along the lines of a VUI/magicTalk annoucement coming from EBAY. Here are also some thoughts about the 20 million in financing that GM recently announced. There has been some discussion on the topic and no one sees this financing as a positive. To me, 20 million seemed like a rather small amount--an amount that was simply needed to tide GM over until the real revenues started to roll in the the latter half of 1999. Also, by not receiving additional equity investments from some heavy hitters such as MSFT, QWST, MOT, etc. I would think that GM would retain greater control over its own destiny. Any thoughts on these views? B
