I hope you're correct; I think the costs are probably somewhat higher; for example, we know that Qualcomm's cost alone for GW equipment is close to 10M$. I assume that doesn't include site work, land and improvements, etc. And I believe I've read that the initial 10M$ installation doesn't provide full capacity, either, so upgrades will be necessary. Conservative guess: the GW's depreciation and interest expense may be up to 10M$/yr

To staff the GW on a 24/7 basis, seems to me will cost on the order of 2-3M$ in labor (say, 20 equivalent heads, max.) Just a wag on my part, but conservative, I think.

But if these costs are correct and each GW on average handles 2% of G*s total traffic, then the cost per minute for this segment is still well less than 10 cents when the system is fully loaded.
