satellite access to internet still requires outgoing data to go thru regular telephone lines @56K Incoming data is fast. Try Directv.com for their satellite description.

You should not have problem with standard modem with CSW, i suspect it's more a memory problem ?? You need at least 64 megs of RAM for the applet to run well.
