In the conference call, Scott indicated that he's taking a 10 to 20 year view in building KLIC to be the "AMAT" of the BackEnd.

It's quite conceivable that analysts don't like the short term earnings prospects that come with that philosophy.

I'd rather have a company that thrives rather than one that produces short term earnings until it finds itself as the last maker of buggy whips in the age of the automobile.

I believe I heard CNBC saying that they had a disappointing earnings report. Kind of strange, since from what I've read here, it sounds like they met expectations and had bookings double.
