I opened a DLJ account today, and noticed it that when I went to
cancel an order on a very liquid NYSE issue,Elan Plc (ELN), it took about 15 or 30 minutes for the screen to go from "cancelling" to "cancelled". Actually I put in an order and later changed the order. Because the original order was shown as canceling, while the changed order was open, it looks like I could have ended up with two fills. Is 15 to 20 minutes to cancel normal?
