impression that they'd reach EBITDA breakeven with 300-400K UTs

I'd never seen that number. I'd arrived at my conclusion by various guesses, and info from the CC, but (even though the final answers seem so different) our two numbers are pretty close.

I'm really quoting an after depreciation and interest and debt amortization number. I don't think you can deduct depreciation or interest in your calculation. The minimum goal should be to be able to finance the second generation of satellites from internal funds, IMO. Otherwise, we original shareholders will be diluted unmercifully.

Also, my 2MM figure assumes 300,000 units either in the channel or otherwise not generating minutes (it might be lower, but there will be substantial numbers), and average minutes of about 88 per month (don't ask me how I arrived at that odd number, I don't remember).

The minutes per unit is a big assumption. Even for their people it's a wag, and again points to the importance of getting the available user terminals into the correct hands.
