AV--The entire design tooling-automation sector is getting beaten down due to some rather negative comments in a few recent conference calls. These calls were with semiconductor companies and equipment suppliers. I remember the DPMI call specifically. The outcome was that companies were going through regular cost reduction programs that included simple shrinks of existing designs instead of designing new devices or new technologies. this was interpreted as shying away from new designs and design automation tools. This has created some of the recent downward pressure. Personally, I would think that both CDN and MENT would be good long term investments. Over the next few weeks to months, I think they have to shake off some unwarranted negative press and innuendo. Andrew
