Craig, Slate and all:

The following is from the Realnetworks site and announces the RealNetworks Conference & Exhibition '99 , which will take place May 5-7 in San Francisco:

> > > RealNetworks Conference & Exhibition '99, our third annual event, presents focused sessions and exhibits to help you explore the opportunities for leveraging streaming media. RNC '99 is the most comprehensive forum anywhere for learning to develop for, deploy and profit from streaming media and related Web multimedia technologies.

Come experience the industry developing around streaming media at the San Francisco Marriott, May 5-7.

RNC '99 offers a full spectrum of learning opportunities to help you take advantage of these emerging technologies:

Learn best practices for deploying streaming media over corporate intranets

Learn expert tips and techniques for producing streaming media content

Learn through hands-on laboratories how to implement streaming media applications

Learn how to profit from using streaming media on your site

Evaluate products and services from RealNetworks partners at the world's largest exhibition dedicated to streaming media technology

FOCUS ON TECHNOLOGY AND STRATEGY
Individual sessions are geared to both the technical interests of developers and the strategic concerns of corporate executives:

Internet Broadcasting
Enterprise Communication and Training
Internet Advertising and E-Commerce
Authoring RealAudio, RealVideo, RealPix, RealText and SMIL < < <

One of the principal sponsors of the program is HP, and one of the program's principal topics is e-commerce uses of streaming media technologies.

Although I could find no direct mention of Wave on the program site, it would seem that Wave's interests will be present and represented in principal by means of Embassy's central position in HP's overall approach to e-commerce. Also participating are Sun, Oracle, Intel and others.

Program site is:

This may be another place to look for possible developments next week.
