A last possibility for the cheaper scanner . . .

They simply cut the price of the scanner in half to the OEMs and get it into keyboards. That will result, obviously, in more sales and almost certainly much higher revenues. For instance, if an OEM can sell a good fingerscanner for only $50 instead of $99, maybe perhaps there is a 20% penetration of the PC market, or 20 million sales a year, where the hardware is $10 and the software maybe $15.

For instance, $25 times 20 million = $500 million/year.

Game not over in this scenario, but IDX far ahead nonetheless.
