Right and the perception of CPQ is in the potty now. A little NEWS..
But no surprise......

"Shares of Sun Microsystems (SUNW: news,
msgs) rose 1 7/8, or 3.4 percent, to 59 11/16. Sun
Micro is expected to give a deposition today in San
Francisco regarding the Microsoft (MSFT: news,
msgs) case.

In related news, an executive for Hewlett-Packard
(HWP: news, msgs) told The Wall Street Journal that product-support
calls from customers of its Pavilion line of personal computer went up 10
percent as a "direct result" of Microsoft's refusal to allow the company to
present its own simpler user-interface before the Windows 95 screen.
H-P shares gained 2 1/4 to 80 5/8.

Quantum (QNTM: news, msgs) shares got a boost after CIBC
Oppenheimer upped its rating on the company from a "buy" to a "strong
buy." Its stock rose 1/2 to 18.

Elsewhere, IBM (IBM: news, msgs) stock slipped 3/16 to 204 13/16;
Dell (DELL: news, msgs) stock gained 1 1/16 to 42 1/8; Compaq (CPQ:
news, msgs) shares were down 3/16 to 22 9/16; and Lexmark (LXK:
news, msgs) stock soared 5 1/16 to 125 15/16. Apple (AAPL: news,
msgs) shares were up 3 7/8, or 9 percent to 46 7/8.
