APA purchases...

Thanks for your comments, Mike. Interesting take. My initial reaction is that the deal bodes well for shallow water drillers in that APA may be more inclined to develop shallow properties in the near term than Shell would have been. APA did not buy the rights to sit on them and as an independent will be more reactive to near term oil and gas prospects than a major.

Does anyone know if APA has a history with or contracting preference for any particular jack up driller? I would think FLC needs to cut some deals.
