it doesn't make it onto the income statement as an employee expense, that is for sure!

SF, I had a nice explanation from someone on SI but i can't find it. The difference in price between the grant price and the vested price is accounted for as a reduction in shareholders equity. It does not show up as an expense on the income Statement even though it is employee compensation as a result the earnings power of many companies are overstated. Mike
